Blog - From Radiators to Underfloor Heating: Adia Thermal Does It All
Share
The Adia Thermal is a whole house heat pump control system. Not only does the Adia modulate the heat pump to run at the most efficient temperatures, based on the external and Internal temperatures, it also gives individual room temperature control and integrates with many energy tariffs.
And now, to improve the system even further, they have added the capacity to control underfloor heating systems (UFH).
The Adia not only improves system efficiency, but it also reduces costs on installation with savings in material and labour.
Ā
Here is why you should consider utilising the Adia Thermal;
- Modbus connection allows the Adia thermal to dynamically control the heat pump, optimising and compensating the heat pump, matching the external and internal conditions to give a required flow temperature, thus improving system efficiencies.
- Each room can have individual temperature control, meaning no wasted heat in unused rooms or in rooms requiring a lower temperature.
- Each radiator is fitted with a Flow Balancing Valve (FBV), which automatically regulates the water flow to the radiator, dependent on the room's heat requirements.
- The Adia has the central unit, which contains a heat meter, ESBE diverting valve and PWM secondary circulation pump.
- There is no need for any additional system volume, so no buffers or volumisers are required. On defrost, the hub opens all the FBVās and utilises the existing system water.
- The Adia can reduce the amount of radiator replacements required on a system, due to the fact that it pushes the water to the rooms that require the heat.
-
It saves on material costs; there is no need for.
- Diverting valve or pre-plumbed cylinder
- Buffer vessel / low loss header / Volumiser
- Secondary circulation pump
- Flow setting valves
- Controls
- Internet module
- 3rd Party monitoring systems.
- No requirement to run a DHW cylinder sensor.
-
And if used on UFH systems.
- Mixing groups
- UFH circuit pumps
- Zone valves
- It is perfect for all systems, new-build, self-build and retrofit.
- Adia integrates with Energy company heat pump tariffs and will utilise the low-cost energy times to provide energy to the property. The system then calculates what effect that this has on the CoP of the system and will provide an eCoP, showing the effective efficiency of the heat pump taking in the lower cost energy.
- The installer gets a full system dashboard that displays information flow rates, room temperatures, compressor starts and frequencies, system Delta T, energy use, including the eCoP.
- The homeowner has an App control to input and edit schedules, set room temperatures and monitor the system.

The Adia Thermal is a simple to install, labour and material saving, efficiency enhancing system.
The Adia provides a benefit to both the installer and homeowner, reducing costs and increasing overall system efficiencies.
